Since 2002, when launching Nate Drive, the first routing and navigation service reflecting realtime transportation information T map has been constantly writing Korea' s mobile navigation history for the past 18 years. In 2010, the number of users increased at a fast pace in line with the sudden growth of the domestic smartphone market. When the free service was provided to customers of all mobile carriers in July of 2016, T map was able to be acknowledged as the nation's representative navigation system. Since 2017, T map has been incessantly making new challenges by actively adopting a variety of advanced technologies such as AI NUGU, V2X and aeronautical chart. Moreover, T map is fulfilling social values not only for drivers but also for the safety of pedestrians based on driving habit services and children protection routes.

Thankfully, the number of subscribers of T map as of 2020 reaches 18.5 million, accounting for a third of the whole population of our country. This means that half of driver's license holders are users of T map. This shows that T map became a vital part of our daily life. In sum, up to 4.5 million people a day and 13 million people a month count on T map services. T map covers 3.8 billion km a month with users, and this distance is equivalent to that of a round trip by 5,000 times from the earth to the moon.
